Let's talk about the implications of 5G

From 1G, the differences is between hand phone and home phone;

To 2G, there is no longer difference hand phone and home phone;

To 3G, there is no longer difference downloading in phones or home PC;

To 4G, there is no longer difference a phone and a PC;

To 5G, there is no longer difference online and offline; ie, opening a shop online and offline is the same;

Now, many press and people hype up about this 5G, just like few years back then about 3D printing and Bitcoin. It is a big differences between hype and applications. As far as I observe and in my knowledge, 5G is not maximizing its potential yet. Most people are hype up and imagining, but its real application is not yet known. Downloading movie faster isn't making any sense, as such action can be done and delivered through 4G, just making it faster and less down time during streaming isn't any big leap in application.

So far, the most promising seems to be the preventative part on industrial scale. Routine maintenance on manufacturing seems promising as it will cut downtime and increase productivity. Automation seems to be the most promising fields now.

But just that it. Others applications doesn't seems matured enough.
